CS2d advertised on TV?!
wow i just met someone who lives in the same city that i lived when i was at Brazil, today. Can you guys believe that he told me that he heard of cs2d because it was advertised on TV?? o.0
That is kind of strange but it makes some sense since the game is powered by Lua ( a Brazilian programming language).
I wonder though how did cs2d get people to advertise it on TV when its an opensource software? They have no means of funding money for that... hmmm very interesting....

Re: CS2d advertised on TV?!
lol....did he see a commercial for Counter-Strike (the one that aint 2D)
google search popped up nothing about this, but then again...maybe someone put up a home-made (unauthorized by USGN) commercial on those local access TV stations.

Re: CS2d advertised on TV?!
no no i specifically asked him if he was sure it was cs2d and not CSS and all of that but he told me that it was cs2d that he saw on TV. :/ that really puzzles me and yeah maybe it was unauthorized by USGN that makes much more sense to me. I really want to watch it though :/ because frankly when i see videos of cs2d on youtube i get bored to death and i cant fathom how they would lure anyone to play a game like CS2D.

Re: CS2d advertised on TV?!
no1 likes cs2d by looking at its cover.
1. looks lame
2. gameplay is a copy version of cs
3. not everyone wants to play a copy version of cs
4. gets boring as it is indeed 2d.
but theres some good things in cs2d.
1. low requirments
2. easy to setup and play
3. portable
4. nothing else.

Re: CS2d advertised on TV?!
Exactly! it looks so lame at first , but it's requirements are VERY low. I wish more people played though :/
The main reason why i play is because of the people and because the gaming style is much more different than other games such as FPS so its like taking a break from the games i play the most ( I think of it as a side dish xD). Wow congratz Ifrit i notice that you're becoming much more active on the forums xD

Re: CS2d advertised on TV?!
yhea lol low requirements unless some n00b lags the map with bombs bullets and everything VIA RCON hack o_e and... i dont think CS2D would be advertized on tv if its free and not as good as CS... > > look... even i never saw a CS/CSS advertisment on tv... even bill bords o_o and the guns in CS2D are unrealistic in fire rate/firepower o_o
