Grand Theft Auto V

The GTA 5 trailer was released today...
And it is awesome.



Funny how all the fake GTA 5 trailers come up on a Youtube search, when the real one is already out. Thanks for giving me such a hard time finding this video, Youtube...

ANYWAYS...

As the Vinewood sign shows, it will take place in Los Santos (and most likely all of San Andreas...there's even a shot of Mount Chilliad). Main character sounds like an older Tommy Vercetti, though it's probably just a new guy. Whoever he is, I couldn't give any less of a crap, as I'm more interested in the location. I would most definitely buy the game on day one of release if it were the WHOLE state of San Andreas. With the power of modern consoles, it would be no problem to make highly expanded versions of the cities of SA, and even add new ones to make it feel more like a true state. It'd be great if they made it as massive (at least 50-100 miles?) as Panau (from Just Cause 2). A large space is good considering that planes will probably be making a come-back in the game. I mean, really...you expect to travel that far with a car? Oh, and gun customization would be awesome (red-dot sights, handles to decrease recoil, silencers, etc).

So...what are your thoughts on it? Suggestions? Anything else? Pointless fanboy worship is fully welcome here. (I'm a GTA fanboy, and I'll always be.)

Looks good, graphics look like Saints row the third and GTAIV combined in some way...

Anyways, I don't think this would be continuous from GTA 3 era plot, so I think those guys probably aren't characters we actually know, just new guys with oddly familiar faces.

I did hear somewhere that we get to play as multiple characters rather then just one this time around, though it's just a rumor. Maybe the word five refers to the number of characters you play as...?

I was thinking they might do something like that, like a double story line and they intersect somewhere.

If that's so, they're severely under-utilizing the power of consoles today.

They will most likely give San Andreas a huge makeover like Liberty City, and hopefully make it 10 time larger.

I want a 100 mile San Andreas with several new cities along with the original three. A larger, more diverse wilderness, with possibly animals in it (hunting minigame, anyone?). Sure, PETA will bitch like usual, but I'm sure Rockstar is used to the controversy they always stir up.

I don't want it like the Stories games, where it's just the EXACT same with just new missions.
